Java Version Check

As of Aug 28, 2012, there was a known vulnerability with Java allowing the download of malware. This site will help identify if your Java is out dated and you need to be concerned. 

Java Updates

Here you will find how to update Java the "safe" way. Follow along on the "Configure Java Updates" section, and on the "Java Control Panel" screen, under the "updates" tab, you will find an update now option. Click this and follow the prompts on the screen. 

Adobe Flash

Adobe flash unfortunatly is common on websites for all kinds of things - it is also a major target for attackers. Ensure you are always kept up to date. 

Microsoft SilverLight

This isn't a common application to find, yet. However, if you have installed it, it should update automaticly with your windows updates. 

Mozilla Firefox Browser

Here is a common alternative browser to the one installed by most operating systems. You can download the latest version here and update as required. 

Google Chrome Browser

Again, another alternate browser, download the package and install over top of any existing versions. 

ClamAV AntiVirus/Malware

Every computer should have an anti-malware software installed. Normally, for home windows users I would recommend Microsoft's Security Essentials - however, this is an alternative.
